Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Top of House, Rafters - On or about June 5, 2013 employees were exposed to a fall hazard while walking and working on the rafter beams. These employees were 10.7 feet above concrete with no fall protection. Employees were not protected from falling to lower level by guardrail system or personal fall arrest system. |
