Crossbraces shall not be used as a means of access. (a) Southeast Corner of Building - On or about August 21, 2013 an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while climbing on metal scaffold framed. There was no ladder attached to eleven foot scaffold. (b) Northeast Corner of Building - On or about August 21, 2013 two employees was exposed to a fall hazard while climbing on metal scaffold frame. There was no ladder attached to this 11.2 foot scaffold. |

Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. Note to paragraph (g)(1): The fall protection requirements for employees installing suspension scaffold support systems on floors, roofs, and other elevated surfaces are set forth in subpart M of this part. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable: (a) Jobsite - On or about August 21, 2013 employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on scaffolds without training on how to recognize, prevent and minimize employee exposure to fall hazards. |
