29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish an energy control program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, start up or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment would be isolated and rendered inoperable. (a) Foxworth Mill and Columbia Mill - On or about April 28, 2015, the employer had not established an energy program consisting of a specific energy control procedure for each machine required under this standard. There were no periodic inspections or employee training. Machines include but not limited to head saws, debarkers, carriages, conveyors, hog mills, air compressors, etc. |
