I recently received a copy of my consumer report from XXXX and XXXX after a recent dispute and saw an item reflecting adverse information from Credit Acceptance Corporation. I am 100 % sure that Credit Acceptance Corporation did not follow federal procedure in validating the alleged debt on the account in Question. The transferring of my information to the Credit agencies listed is not lawfully transferred. Credit Acceptance Corporation has not lawfully verified a contract agreement between the consumer and Credit Acceptance Corporation bearing two wet ink signatures by Consumer XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation in which a contract shall be made valid per contract law. Credit Acceptance Corporation has violated Due Process clause towards the consumer by denial of arbitration of any alleged debt by a lawful court order that can substantiate a lawful claim against consumer XXXX XXXX. Without any proof of Contract bearing two wet ink signatures by both parties in interest or a lawful court order or written consent from the consumer, Credit Acceptance Corporation has violated Federal Consumer Law 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 which pertains to the responsibilities of furnishers of information and XXXX nor XXXX did not properly verify this information. 1. Contract with 2 wet ink signatures by both parties 2. A lawful court order or judgement or deposition or sworn statement of facts. 3 Written consent of the consumer.

Complaint What Happened |
I had a car with credit acceptance. The car was totaled in a tornado. My insurance paid a portion of the balance and they provided me a settlement. I was 30 days late..I agree with that. I paid the settlement in full and after I paid the full amount they reported to the credit bureau that I was 60 days late. They reported that 3 weeks after I made the final payment.

I got a loan from Credit Acceptance in 2018. I made payments as stated in our agreement but when the pandemic happened, I was out of work and notified the company in which they told me they had no help for their customers. So I made the payments as best as I could. Most of the time it was paid on time and if not it was paid within 3 days from due date. I was notified that the amount was due on the XXXX not after and we dont have grace periods. So the first time I was late, the account would continue to reflect late payments each month until I paid that one late payment. I wasnt aware that it works that way. Even more, its hurting my credit trying to get a new car because of those unethical practices this finance company practice. It is a reason they are one of the worse companies. I didnt realize how bad those terms where until the pandemic. Also they lied to me about helping during the pandemic only to turn around and send an email about how they help their customers during the pandemic. Also this company practices harassing phones calls for one missing payments and didnt stop until I blocked them and paid. My credit report shows late payment every month because one late payment rolled over each month until it was paid. Had they given me the option to push that payment to the end of terms, I would have great credit. Its disgusting how this company hurt the very people who put money in their pockets and food on their tables. Shame on Credit Acceptance, they were never really trying to help me, just cause me more pain.
