Complaint What Happened United Collection Bureau is trying to collect a debt passed down from XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank that was a result of identity theft. I have a police report and claim number for this case. This company sent me a letter in the mail asking me to settle for something that I field as theft. This is harassment at this point because I am not responsible for the debt. The complaint number tied to this case was originally sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank until I got a notice in the mail from United Collection Bureau. The original complaint number is XXXX back dated to XX/XX/2021.

Complaint What Happened I was contacted by this company in regards to a medical debt. I informed the company that the debt was never sent my my health insurance. They stated they would send to my insurance. I also informed them that this was for a work related injury while in the military. Then I saw a negative report show up on my credit score from the same company that stated they would send the claim to my insurance. I contacted my insurance company and they stated they never received a claim from the creditor in their records. I then contacted the company to attempt to get them to send the claim forward and request why they did not send this to my insurance as they told me they would do. They also claimed that they did send it to my insurance even though my insurance company has no record of the claim being sent to them. They stated that another firm took over the debt and they would not help me. So, then company put a negative remark on my credit for a bill they refused to send to my insurance to get paid out for a work related injury while on military duty.
