Citation text line | 29 CFR 1910.95(g)(1): The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program as provided by 29 CFR 1910.95(g) by making audiometric testing available to all employees whose exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: (a) Back Evisceration - On or about August 17, 2016 employees were exposed to continuous noise at 100 % of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 90 dBA during the 267 minute sampling period on August 17, 2016. Exposure calculation included a zero increment for the time not sampled. (b) Paws - On or about August 17, 2016,employees were exposed to continuous noise at 89.7% of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time--weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 89.2 dBA during the 255 minutes sampling period on August 17, 2016. Exposure calculation included zero increment for the time not sampled. (c) Middle Evisceration - On or about August 17, 2016, employees were exposed to continuous noise at 92.9% of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 89.5 dBA during the 267 minute sampling period on August 17, 2016. Exposure calculation included a zero increment for the time not sampled. (d) Middle Picking - On or about August 17, 2016, employees were exposed to continuous noise at 87.5% of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 89.0 dBA during the 276 minute sampling period on August 17, 2016. Exposure calculation included a zero increment for the time not sampled. |
