We received a call regarding a medical debt from collection agency : Medical Revenue Service / XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX/ XXXX, FL XXXX.
On the first call, the caller was polite ; asked if my spouse ( XXXX XXXX ) had received treatment at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and stated there was a debt. [ approximately XX/XX/2022. ] We had received no notice of the debt from the hospital, no contact at all. I explained this to the bill collector and requested an itemized statement. We received Saturday [ XX/XX/2022 ] a statement from Medical Revenue Service which included no itemization and with my spouse 's name garbled. I mailed ( today! first available opportunity [ XX/XX/2022 ] ) a response with our intent to challenge the debt due to the lack of accurate information. Obviously, they have not received that ; we have not had time to make take any action of any kind.
Today [ XX/XX/2022 ] -- obviously before action could have been taken -- I received a second call. This time the caller was less than polite. She responded with hostility to my statement that we were already mailing a statement of our intent to challenge the bill. She dismissed the name question as 'a typo ' ; she referred to the supposed 'contracted amount ' on a bill we have still never seen ; she appeared indifferent to our failure to receive an itemized bill.
She characterized my entirely polite response as reflective of a 'bad attitude ' and used it as an excuse to claim my bad faith. SHE THREATENED TO CALL AGAIN to attempt to speak directly to my spouse ( not available for either call ). I DO NOT wish to receive any more of her phone calls ; I want information before we consider our proper course of action regarding the debt.
I certainly do not find the failure to properly document the debt appropriate. I want an itemized account ; I want to know why a bill of over {$12000.00} was submitted to our insurance company for nothing more than 2 hours sitting in an emergency room and why we never received any contact regarding that bill until a third-part debt collection service was involved.

In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act DEPT OF EDUCATION/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MEDICAL DATA SYSTEMS, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX XXXX has XXXX my rights.
15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy.
15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions I recently reviewed my credit report and noticed some unauthorized accounts on my credit report. Under 15 USC 1681A 3, this role was assumed without permission nor my consent. My right to privacy was neglected and not respected which is under 15 USC1681A 4. You did not exercise your grave responsibility, you were unfair, you were partial. You were never given permissible purpose under 1681B 2. I never instructed anyone to furnish or create this report

I contacted Medical Data System Inc XX/XX/2022. I advised them they have violated my HIPPA rights by disclosing my medical records to a third, they have neglected to respond and have continued to submit this negative information on my credit profile. I have not signed any documents given Medical Data System Inc the right to share my medical information.
15 U.S. CODE SS 1681a ( 3 ) Restriction on sharing of medical information.Except for information or any communication of information disclosed as provided in section 1681b ( g ) ( 3 ) of this title, the exclusions in paragraph ( 2 ) shall not apply with respect to information disclosed to any person related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control, if the information is ( A ) medical information ; ( B ) an individualized list or description based on the payment transactions of the consumer for medical products or services ; or ( C ) an aggregate list of identified consumers based on payment transactions for medical products or services.
