29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer shall administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program, as described in paragraphs (c) through (o) of this section, whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels measured on the A scale (slow response) or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent. (a) Fabrication Shop -On or about August 22, 2013 a fitter employee was exposed to continuous noise at 101.9% of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 90 dBA during the 351 minute sampling period on 8-22-13. Exposure calculation included zero increment for the time not sampled. (b) Fabrication Shop - On or about August 22, 2013 a tacker employee was exposed to continuous noise at 91.1% of the permissible daily noise (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or an equivalent sound level of approximately 89 dBA during the 356 minute sampling period on 8-22-13. Exposure calculation included zero increment for the time not sampled. |

The program shall be updated as necessary to reflect those changes in workplace conditions that affect respirator use: (a) Fabrication Shop - On or about August 22, 2013 the employer had not developed and implemented a written respirator program which included selection, medical evaluation, fit testing, proper usage, training, etc. |

The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor.
