Complaint What Happened |
XX/XX/XXXX a credit of XXXX was applied to my account and was never called on it or emailed why I had this credit. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX took XXXX out of my account for the monthly payment for XX/XX/XXXX, they should of only taken the amount XXXX to complete the payment. Still no phone call or email on the credit. Now its XX/XX/XXXX and they automatically applied the XXXX to a principal payment and took the full amount again which caused my account to bounce and my bank to charge me XXXX for the over draft fee.

Complaint What Happened |
We finally received a response to our XX/XX/XXXX request on the deduction of {$1000.00} from our escrow account via XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Selene Finance admitted that the so-called escrow analysis was an audit of their records and reflected an error on staffs behalf with our account being credited with the {$1000.00} when we refinanced ( 2 ) years ago in XXXX. While this should have been told to us in the XX/XX/XXXX, correspondence on a rate increase with NO explanation, the fact that it took numerous e-mails, calls and correspondence from us - a three-month delay in an honest response is appalling.
The redeeming factor with that correspondence was that once the error was admitted to, we were also assured that 1 ) Late fees would not be held against us. 2 ) Adverse credit reports would be removed and 3 ) We would be expected to pay the additional escrow for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX that we withheld waiting on clarification for the {$1000.00} negative adjustment to our account. We have fulfilled our responsibility and our payments are current and correct as of XX/XX/XXXX.

No adjustment has been made to our account for late fees. Payments since XXXX are hanging out there unapplied to our account correctly and billing continues to reflect that we are past due which in NOT true.
All this grief was unnecessary they could have just admitted in XXXX someone made a mistake that needed to be fixed. We would have gladly agreed to the necessary increase immediately to insure our property taxes and insurances were covered with escrow funding. We have never been late on a mortgage payment in the past 12 years. We also never had such poor customer service. We asked last month that all errors be corrected by XX/XX/XXXX which has not happened.
