29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available. (a) Landscaping site - On or about August 15, 2017 employees were not provided with first aid training or a first aid kit for potential medical emergencies. Also these employees did not know the location of the nearest medical facility near the work area. |

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer shall maintain in the workplace copies of the required material safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and shall ensure that they are readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they are in their work area(s). (Electronic access, microfiche, and other alternatives to maintaining paper copies of the material safety data sheets are permitted as long as no barriers to immediate employee access in each workplace are created by such options.) (a) Landscaping site - On or about August 15, 2017 the employer did not maintain a Hazardous Communication Program. The Safety Data Sheets (SDS) was not available to employees at the work site. The employer had hazardous material in the work area including: Round Up, Power Max II with no SDS. |
