29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces were not kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: a. Banbury Mixer No. 3, Half Floor - The employees were exposed to a slip, trip and fire hazard. On or about October 31, 2018, Housekeeping around the Banbury mixer at the half floor needed improving. A mixture of grease, carbon black and other items were on the floor around the mixer. The Banbury mixer warning signs, dangers signs and labels, if any, were obscured by a thick coat of grease and carbon black. The grease on the outside of Banbury mixer could constitute a fire hazard if electrical parts overheat or moving parts overheat due to friction. |
