Construction Site - On or about August 11, 2015, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard when he climbed from the roof of a four story building and into an aerial lift basket. The employee was lowered to the fourth floor where he climbed out of the aerial lift basket and onto the fourth floor. |

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A safety harness with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: a. Construction Site - On or about August 11, 2015, an employee was operating a Genie aerial lift and he did not fasten his harness straps and he did not connect his lanyard to the aerial lift basket. b. A second employee was on the roof of a building that was under construction. The aerial lift operator elevated the basket to the roof and the employee climbed from the roof and into the aerial lift basket and was lowered to the fourth floor. The employee was not wearing a harness and lanyard while in the basket. |
